This innovative formula contains specially selected bacteria that work effectively even in temperatures as low as 4°C. Since blanket weed stops growing below 8°C, you can rely on Blanketweed Klear year-round to keep your pond in top condition.

Before using Blanketweed Klear, we recommend testing your water parameters. Ensure your pH is between 7.5 & 8.5 and your KH is above 5 for optimal results. If needed, stabilize your water with Pond Equaliser.

For long-term protection and to prevent future blanket weed growth, incorporate Pond Klear into your pond maintenance routine.

Check your the ponds pH before applying, and if required, use Pond Equaliser
Scatter the powder on top of the algae to obtain direct contact - 30-50 grams per 1,000 litres of water
If after 24 hours the algae has not turned brown, repeat.
Once algae has died, treat the pond with the provided tablets to break the algae down - 1 tablet per 5,000 litres of water

Blanketweed Klear won't kill pond plants but can cause temporary discolouration if applied directly.

No, it is safe for fish and will improve their health by increasing the oxygen levels in the water.

Certain sizes of Blanketweed Klear are vacuum-sealed during production and all the air is removed from the packet. As such, upon delivery, the product can feel solid. However, once the packet has been opened and air introduced, the product will loosen up to a powder again.

Whilst this can be used all year round, it is most effective when water temperatures are above 4°C.

The UV light does not need to be turned off when using this.

Slow but progress

"As a new small ponder owner I wanted to remove what looked to be blanket weed. I followed the instructions but the weed was not just surface weed. The weed had disintegrated within 24hours but made the water very green from particulate which was too fine for the net. The pond became progressively worse. I asked advice from envii who a recommended pond klear. I also used a balancing product from them.
