Combining Mycorrhizal Fungi & Bacteria
Envii Root Well is an organic blend of mycorrhizal fungi and bacteria that helps your garden plants flourish by cultivating a strong root system and supporting plant health.
Envii Root Well helps to encourage healthy growth and root development by:
- Increasing a plant’s uptake of water and moisture
- Helping plants to unlock essential nitrogen, phosphorus and other nutrients from soil
- Enhancing plant disease resistance, and protection against pathogens
Simply sprinkle the required amount around the planting hole or base of the plant and water into the soil – it’s as easy as that!
What Does Envii Root Well Do?
Root Well is an organic plant root stimulant – this superb product is formulated to boost healthy root growth by creating extended root systems using mycorrhizal fungi.
The fungal network helps the host plant to increase nutrient and moisture uptake via plant roots, such as essential phosphorus, which is harder to come by in soil and compost.
Our Envii Root Well is so effective thanks to the inclusion of mycorrhizal fungi – but what exactly is this, and how does it help your plants to thrive?
What is Mycorrhizal Fungi?
Mycorrhizas refers to the mutually advantageous symbiotic relationships between plant roots and beneficial fungi – these organisms in a sense ‘exchange’ essential nutrients that each requires.
Here’s how it works – the mycorrhizal fungi form a secondary root system for plants – this extensive network reaches even deeper into the soil, increasing the plant’s absorption of moisture and nutrients such as phosphorus and nitrogen.
In return, the plant provides the mycorrhizal fungi with food in the form of excess sugars.
Mycorrhizal fungi have been around for 400 million years and can be found in 90% of land plant species, so it’s fair to say this relationship is tried, tested and proven to be successful in the growth of our plants!
That’s why our Root Well formula contains mycorrhizal fungi.
You can find out even more about mycorrhizal fungi and their effects on plant growth and health in our blog: Mycorrhizal Fungi: The Secret to Thriving Plants.
Why Does Envii Root Well Contain Bacteria, as well as Mycorrhizal Fungi?
Combining mycorrhizal fungi and beneficial bacteria enhances the performance of this fungus even further.
Bacteria feed off all the vitamins, organic acids and carbohydrates that plants naturally provide. This boosts bacterial activity, making nutrients like phosphorus and nitrogen ready and accessible for plants to absorb more easily.
Also, the use of bacteria helps to protect plants from pathogens and diseases.
We found that bacteria help to promote mycorrhizal establishment within plants, whilst mycorrhizal fungi will increase the size of the bacterial population.
What Makes Envii Root Well Special?
